Unity With His Followers

By Zadok

In Isaiah 66:2, God reveals to us that He is drawn to Holiness and Humility. "For my hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being," declares the Lord. "But to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word."

Unity is a by-product of Humility.

Jesus Christ humbled Himself when He took upon Himself human flesh. He reached toward us, out of pure love for His Father, to reconcile us, His enemies, to His Father & Himself.

Reconciliation means "to bring into a changed relationship" A changed relationship between you and your enemy. Laying aside strife and enmity.

Holy Jesus Christ was never offended by what He suffered---therefore we have no right to be offended by others.

Scripture states God has 2 purposes for creating us:
1- It pleased Him to dwell among us that He may pour Himself into us
2-To conform us to the image of Jesus Christ, Restoring His Image to creation.

Daily We must give up ruling ourselves and bow down to our Sovereign God's right to rule us. Allowing God's Spirit to conform our hearts and souls to the image of Jesus Christ. This is called "Filled with the Spirit", "Walking in the Spirit", or "Spirit-controlled". This is when we are Holy and Pleasing to God. You may only submit 5 minutes at a time in the beginning, but be encouraged, the time will lengthen until there is more of His control and less of yours. God desires to make you Holy as He is Holy.

Reconciliation is the highest form of Divine Love. Humbling ourselves to forgive others and humbling ourselves to ask forgiveness.

Jesus had to die to reconcile us to His Father.
We have to die to self to reconcile with others.

If you agree with your mind that God desires you to reconcile with someone, but your heart and will do not want to, be encouraged. This is to be expected from our sin nature, the flesh.

Godly sorrow and repentance are a gift from God. Only He can change our hearts and wills. If you know what is right and cannot do it, Pray and ask God to grant you Godly sorrow and repentance and ask Him to change your mind, will, and emotions.

God has given us the following scriptures for seeking reconciliation:

John 13:34 & 34 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. that you also love one another. BY THIS ALL MEN WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES, IF YOU HAVE LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.

Col 3:12 & 13 "So as those who have been chosen of God, Holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.

Mark 11:26 "But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions.

Matthew 6:12,14,15 "And forgive us our trespasses, as we have forgiven those who have trespassed against us. For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

Romans 5:10 "For if while we were enemies we were RECONCILED to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

2Cr 5:18 And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
